Meetings are held after school (2:40-3:15) in the mini-auditorium on even Mondays for current members.
Members are required to attend meetings (only excused absences from the school day and athletic games/matches are considered excused absences from meetings), fundraise $10 for each of 2 NHS-chosen charities, and provide 30 hours of approved community service (6 of the 30 must be approved tutoring). Members are also expected to maintain the 3.333 GPA requirement of membership and serve as positive role models in the school and community.
Membership in NHS is by invitation, and invitation occurs once a year in the Spring. BHS students are invited to join NHS at the end of their sophomore year if they have a 3.333 cumulative GPA in an advanced level curriculum.
