Striving for Excellence

McBride Middle School provides an outstanding educational environment for approximately 800 seventh and eight grade students. Our wonderfully diverse population is serviced by our exemplary faculty who work hard to meet the developmental needs of our students. McBride Middle School is fortunate to provide interdisciplinary teacher teams which require faculty to work together on a daily basis with students fostering academic, social, and emotional growth and providing a rigorous and relevant curriculum, strategies, and support to succeed in the 21st century. In addition, our new Viking Connections Program offers students and faculty an opportunity to work together in small class settings on team building, service learning, organization, grade graphing, and making personal connections. Additional educational experiences are available through our Gifted and Talented Program and our varied elective program which includes band, choir, technology, art, and physical education. After school activities provide our students with a wide variety of choices from sports, clubs, organizations, school play, and tutoring. Parent and community involvement is valued and encouraged. Our PTO meets monthly and supports our academic endeavors. Our “Bring Your Parent to School Day”, Pancake Supper, and Curriculum Nights offer additional opportunities for participation.
