Community Overview
The communities of Belleville, Sumpter, and Van Buren Township offer a diverse population with a wide variety of income levels and job types among students' families. Belleville High School is the only high school in the region, and therefore enjoys the support of the entire community, encompassing both rural and suburban neighborhoods.
The local business community includes small businesses as well as large chain businesses. The City of Belleville provides immediate access to major freeways and two airports. Several universities exist in the immediate area, including University of Michigan, Wayne State University, and Eastern Michigan University.
