Cold Weather Day - Van Buren Public Schools Staff and Parents - This is Pete Kudlak, Superintendent. As you know, we have some bitterly cold weather approaching. The sustained windchill will be below -25 degrees and therefore we will be closing school tomorrow, Wednesday, January 30, 2019. I understand that Thursday looks to also be below that threshold. However, I will be reassessing this during the day tomorrow to make sure nothing changes. If the current forecast holds, I will be reaching back out to you tomorrow evening. VBPS STEAM Showcase - Saturday, Feb. 2, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at BHS. Students from elementary through high school will be showcasing the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) in their learning!

1st Annual BHS Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Come join us tonight during half time of the boys basketball game (approx. 7:30pm) in the main gym at Belleville High School. What a great event for these first inductees.

BHS students are making a pledge to mental health awareness and raising funds to "pay it forward" to bring the Do it For Daniel presentation to another school in the area!


Important Update: There has been a change in the calendar. There will be NO SCHOOL for Haggerty Preschoolers on Thursday, January 24th and Friday January 25th.

Be sure to watch Channel 20 at 10:00 p.m. or Channel 7 at 11:00 p.m. to see footage of the Do It For Daniel presentation at Belleville High School.

The next Board of Education Regular Meeting will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 in the Belleville High School Commons at 7:00pm.
