Good evening, This is a message for VBPS families who have chosen our remote option for the school year. Tomorrow, our parent orientation site will be made public to review on our district website. This site will be a hub for resources including general remote schedule information, student expectations, and technology resources to help you be successful this year. All parents are expected to take time to review the information before school starts next week. The following day, Thursday, September 10 at 7 p.m., we will provide a brief live tour of the website to help families navigate the site. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we will not be able to answer questions in real-time, however any questions, as well as a recording of the tour, will be archived on the site. Teachers will be, or may have, already started reaching out to you and your child to begin setting up their Google Classroom. For this reason, It is very important that your email and contact information is updated in MI-STAR. Please contact your child’s home school to update the contact information. You can participate in Thursday’s live steam by visiting: https://bit.ly/3bFviqq Thank you and have a good night!

However, you will need to complete the MHSAA Health Questionnaire and have it on file in order to participate. Families of Van Buren Public Schools, Please take a moment to complete the survey, found at bit.ly/vbpsparentsurvey, as it will ask you to provide feedback about your thoughts about what went well and what did not during the time that remote learning occurred. Although we are uncertain what school will look like in the fall, your responses will assist our district re-entry committee to develop plans for the fall. If you have more than one child, please complete this form for each child. There will an opportunity at the end of the survey to submit another one. Please submit your responses no later than June 12. Thank you!.

Hi
The Owen food pantry will be open on Sunday, March 22 from 10 AM to 12 PM for drive-through service. Please pull around to the back. We will also have paper/pencil activities for you to take home and work on with your 5th/6th grade children. If you picked up materials on Monday, at this time, they are the same papers. You will not need another copy. Be safe and stay healthy. Please remember that our food pantry is open to all people in the Van Buren public school system.
