Seniors & Juniors, it's almost that time!! Powderpuff Football game is Wednesday, October 9th from 7-9 PM. An informational meeting will be held in Mr.Fransen's room (145) , Wednesday, September 10th from 2:15-2:45 PM. The "best band in all the land" is just one of many who will be showcased at the 31st annual Band Review! Save the date - it's coming up soon! Come out on Wednesday, September 17, to see our very own Marching Tigers and 7 other bands in this amazing convergence of musical talent. The gates open at 5:45 and the performances start at 6:30. Admission is $6. You won't go hungry; food trucks will be on site to enhance the enjoyment! Go, Marching Tigers!

Our Belleville Early College students were all smiles on their first day at Washtenaw Community College! This is a new partnership for the program and promises to be a great one with all the support and options it provides for our students! We see you, College Tigers!



Tiger Success Institute (TSI) received the VIP treatment as part of culminating event for the 8-week "Hustle 2 Success" partnership between TSI and Washtenaw Community College. Students toured the Occupational Education building, got a glimpse of what Advanced Manufacturing is, explored the Automotive Lab, and learned about how a nursing simulator works.

On Friday, BHS students visited the Michigan Career & Technical Institute (MCTI) to explore their post-secondary options. MCTI is a post-secondary vocational and technical training center for adults with disabilities in Michigan. It is the second-largest rehabilitation training center in the country. MCTI is supported by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity and Michigan Rehabilitation Services.
MCTI offers a wide range of programs for students, including: Automotive Technology, Cabinetmaking/Millwork, Certified Nursing Assistant, Commercial Printing, Culinary Arts, Custodial, Industrial Electronics, Information Technology, Machine Technology, Pharmacy Technician, Retail Marketing.
MCTI's Vision: Employment, independence, and equality for Michiganders with disabilities.

Congratulations to the Boys Track & Field team as they won the MHSAA Regional Championship on Friday night. Many athletes are advancing to the State Champions from both the boys' and girls' teams. Highlights of the meet were:
-Jada Wilson as Regional Champion in the 110 high hurdles, the 300 hurdles, and the 200-meter dash. Her time of 24.83 also set the school record in the 200.
-In the 110 high hurdles, the boys took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places. Will Jaiden Smith was the Regional Champion, followed by teammates Schmar Gamble, Tim Pinard, and Jaiden Rutley
-Makenzie Simpson was the Regional Champion in the 100-meter dash for the girls. Peyton Trammer was the Regional Champion for the boys.
-Will Jaiden Smith smashed the school record in the 300-meter hurdles and was Regional Champion with a time of 36.94.
-Bryce Watts earned a State Qualifying height in the high jump with a jump of 6'2" and took 6th place.
-Other Regional medalists in events on the day were JeVon Martin, Kalen Turner, Mya Wilson, Naveah Derrick, Kayla Yharbrough, Derrick Taylor, Ray-mond Smith, Danielle Taylor, and Chandler Wiggins. Congratulations to all and good luck at States! Go, Tigers!


Congratulations to the girls track team as they are your 2025 KLAA Track & Field Champions!! School Records and Meet Records were set on the day as well as a lot of girls earning All-KLAA honors and State Cuts. Some highlights were:
-Makenzie Simpson earning KLAA Champion in the 100-meter dash. She also set the school record in the 100 last week.
-The 4 by 100 relay team of Makenzie Simpson, Jada Wilson, Kayla Yharbrough, and Danielle Taylor were KLAA Champions and set the Meet & the School Record with a time of 48.91.
-The 4 by 400 relay team of Mya Wilson, Jada Wilson, Makenzie Simpson, and Navaeh Derrick were KLAA Champions with a time of 3:59.43
-Jada Wilson was the KLAA Champion of the 200 meter Dash and set a school record with a time of 25.01.


Congratulations to the BHS Lady Tigers Flag Football Team on your inaugural season! Seeing your grit and determination shine under the lights on our home field last night was amazing!





Several of our community members in the health care field shared their expertise and stories with BHS students interested the Health Science Purpose Pathway. Students heard from our school nurse, a physical therapist, an EMT, and college students pursuing their degrees to become physician assistants. After the panel presentation, students were able to visit with the panel members and ask questions! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time this year to share your career with our students! Their conversations with you are a crucial part of our goal to help students find and pursue their purpose!

BHS Health Science Pathway Spotlight 🔬🩺
Today, Mr. Stetzenmeyer’s organic chemistry students showcased their semester-long Medical Emergence Program projects—an annual tradition that models the diagnostic process through fictional patient cases.
This year’s presentations were elevated through collaboration with the Wayne County Medical Society and Wayne State medical students, giving students real-world insight into careers in medicine. Their dedication, teamwork, and critical thinking were on full display as they presented diagnoses, assessments, and treatment plans with professionalism and care.









Please join us as the BHS and McBride Choirs raise their voices in song on Tuesday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m. in the BHS Main Auditorium. These students are talented and dedicated, and they are beyond excited to be able to perform for you!

Congratulations to Jaedyn Jones who just won the Spring 2025 MHSEL NBA2K State Championship! He has won three straight state titles for Belleville HS!
