The Belleville Unified Leadership team soaked up some sun on Monday while playing bocce ball. They look forward to participating in the KLAA unified Field Day next month. Partners and athletes learned the rules of the game and practiced their bocce skills.

A group of BHS students attended the Metro Detroit College Fair on Thursday, April 3rd in Novi , Michigan. Students were able to gain valuable knowledge about a variety of postsecondary pathways.
Washtenaw Community College (WCC) will be offering a Summer Bridge Program at WCC. The Summer Bridge Program prepares rising 11th and 12th graders for Dual Enrollment at WCC in Fall 2025 through a 4-week, half-day program focused on college-ready reading and writing skills, test-taking strategies, soft skills, and career pathway exploration. This is a great option for students who are interested in Dual Enrollment but don’t yet have the reading and writing academic levels needed to enroll.
The deadline for applications and principal/counselor recommendations is Friday, May 2nd.

The BHS Girls Flag Football team is putting in the work! Last weekend they practiced together with the Detroit Prowl - Detroit's own back-to-back AWFL champions! Photos show BHS players warming up and participating in drills with the team! Coach Napthen also shared that several team members attended the Gridiron Academy at Siena Heights, an opportunity to learn from and network with coaches. This past weekend your BHS Robotics team competed in the Michigan State Championship. The ended 15th on their field and had the highest score on their field. They were the first pick of the 8th alliance for play-offs. While their play-off experience did not go as good as they would have hoped, they ended the weekend ranked 57th out of 619 teams in Michigan.
Their performance this season has secured them a spot at the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas next week.
This is an amazing internship opportunity for civic-minded students 16 and older with reliable transportation! Senator Camilleri's office is offering paid opportunities for students this summer. This is a valuable chance to learn about how our government works, how policies are influenced, and to build a network! IMPORTANT: The new deadline is Friday, April 11.
🎉🤖 The Bellevillains have done it again! This weekend, our incredible Robotics team took FIRST place at the Detroit FIRST Robotics Competition—but that’s not all! They also earned the prestigious Engineering Inspiration Award, the highest honor our team has won to date! 🏆⚙️

Spring Testing at BHS takes place Tuesday - Thursday, April 8, 9, and 10. All students will attend school on Tuesday, April 8. 11th graders will test that day. 10th and 11th graders will attend and test on Wednesday, April 9. 9th and 12th graders will attend and test on Thursday, April 10.
