JV Girls Soccer battled to a 1 - 1 tie at home vs Dearborn yesterday. A perfect corner kick from Cara Wilkerson set up our goal from Derricka McCarter. Her first goal in her season debut. A late goal before the half, from Dearborn, set the game tied. The second half had a great handful of scoring opportunities, but we couldn't break the tie. Our defense was phenomenal as always anchored by Ryane Ward, Shyanne Borders, Cam Lunsford and our center backs Alivia Johnston and Jackie Torres. Both Jackie and Alivia having a career day locking down their offensive attacks. At the mid-way point in the season, our record stands at 3-1-1 Our next game is Wednesday, April 28 5:30 at Franklin in Livonia.

Another victory for JV Girls Soccer. A battle in the first half left us with 11 shots, but no goals. Our 2nd half came alive with a more controlled and settled game. Our scoring came from two penalty kicks. MacKenzie Bailey and Liliana Adcock both netting their first goals of the season helped our team get on the board. Once again Avery Batchelder sent a 20 yard shot into the net to make it 3-0. Finally Brooke Hickman slammed home a rebound to get us up 4-0. Alivia Johnston added a beautiful shot on frame to be deflected in off Brooke Hickman, giving Alivia the assist and Brookes second goal of the game. Making her debut start as goalie, Shyanne Borders posted the shutout turning back multiple shots.
