Over the past few years, Work-Based Learning (WBL) at Belleville High School has been limited to students in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs. In the Spring 2025 semester, the WBL program was rebranded and re-envisioned as the Youth Employment Initiative. This inaugural group of five students, known as Tiger Talent, serves the community in paid and intern positions with partners such as
-The City of Belleville
-CVS Health
-Van Buren Township
In Purpose, Excellence, and Achievement. Go Tigers!

These conversations were about everything from an employee's daily life in the field to internships and job shadowing. In March we will highlight and explore the Business, Management, Marketing, and Technology Purpose Pathway. If you're in this field, we'd love to have you talk with our students.

At our Engineering, Manufacturing, and Industrial Technology Career Pathway assembly, area engineers and entrepreneurs shared advice and
encouragement with our students. Advice included: seek out mentors, fail forward, and stick with it when things get challenging!

🔍 What is Project-Based Learning (PBL)?
At Belleville New Tech, learning goes beyond lectures and worksheets. In every class, students tackle big-picture questions that matter—solving real-world problems while diving deep into their subjects.
Students work in teams, researching, collaborating, and presenting their findings in creative and meaningful ways. The result? You gain the skills to think critically, solve complex problems, and thrive in the real world.
The Freshman BNT Class had their final presentations today in the Farm to Plate project, where they researched a food from seed to table, and then prepared a meal with it. They presented their research to community members, their families, and other students, while shared their delicacies.
